Here’s a Photo Gallery of some of the AVN (Ancient, Veteran and Notable) Trees of Savernake, which you will see during our Savernake Walks.  Big, bold and often broken, many of these trees have been standing for 600 years or more.  Many are self-seeded, a few were deliberately planted as Parish Boundary markers, and some have been planted to line old tracks and avenues.
